Learjet 60 and 60 XR Tire Pressure Checks

TAGS: None

The FAA has informed Bombardier that it plans to issue an Airworthiness Directive (AD) in early April regarding the Learjet 60/60XR. This is one element of a strategic effort to promote safety across the entire aviation industry with respect to proper tire inflation. The FAA will issue the AD against the Learjet 60 and 60XR Airplane Flight Manuals. The AD will require incorporation of a Temporary Flight Manual supplement which requires tire pressure to be checked within 96 hours prior to flight.

Free training packages are available to all Learjet 60/60XR operators and training organizations. It is important that all pilots flying these aircraft are aware of and understand the changes to the Airplane Flight Manuals. Airworthiness Directives mandate training on this topic.
