Bombardier Customer training is proud to announce that brand new on-line interior training courses are now available for pilots and technicians. The Bombardier Global Express, an extraordinary aircraft with exceptional performance and graceful lines, boasts an interior that provides outstanding functionality and comfort. Powered by the Rockwell Collins Cabin Electronics System, this aircraft allows passengers to interact with a state-of-the art cabin management system using the latest technology in business functionality and in flight entertainment.
Bombardier Aircraft training is proud to announce that brand new on-line interior training courses are now available for pilots and technicians. These courses provide a comprehensive overview, and in-depth technical familiarization on the interior systems, including the cabin electronics system, cabin electrical power, touch screen operation, lighting, water and waste, to name some of the systems covered.
Several instructional design techniques are applied to provide the best learning experience, including:
• Engaging interactivities on system operations: through flash animation, the touch screens operate as they do on the real aircraft.
• Hands-on practical exercises with real world scenario: practical exercises are used throughout the course to reinforce the learning objectives.
• Detailed system schematics: for the maintenance technician, detailed system block diagrams and schematics provide helpful information on system operation and interface with related systems.
• Animated signal flow: it shows the distribution of analog and digital signals throughout the cabin electronics systems. In this manner the student is able to better comprehend how the system works. Armed with this knowledge, the maintenance technician can more easily grasp where to look when things aren’t working properly.
• Rich high-quality printable resources: Resources, e.g. system architecture, interiors abbreviations, are available during the course. Selecting the appropriate resource from a menu makes that resource available for immediate reference during training. These can also be printed as desired.
An additional optional course, Technology, Computers and Networks, is also available to highlight the technology used in the cabin management system. This course provides a good introduction to how Ethernet systems packetize data and route audio and video signals from in flight entertainment sources to the video monitors and audio systems.
