Commercial Flight Courses General Information

Bombardier Aircraft Training, offers a broad spectrum of courses and services for flight-crews of the CRJ series, which prepare them for complete line-readiness.

As an approved FAA Part 142 Training Facility and a JAA Type-Rating Training Organization (TRTO) the core courses have been recognized as having met exacting standards of excellence. While an approved training template is available to facilitate rapid start-up of CRJ operations, Aircraft Services, Training can also deliver courses using operator-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and customized training footprints. With in-house check pilots certified to conduct check flights on behalf of the FAA (Part 61 or 121), the JAA, TC, and other regulatory agencies, client operators are able to qualify their pilots in a timely manner.

Ground-school training uses highly interactive multimedia that capitalizes on Computer-Based Training (CBT), Systems Trainers, Level 6 synthetic Flight Training Devices, Flight Management System (FMS) trainers, and user-friendly publications, to achieve maximum learning. Aircraft systems and procedures are introduced through personal (2 students per instructor) guided-discussions and immediate hands-on application of CBT-derived knowledge. Alternatively, ground-school training can be brought to the operator´s location, with each student having access to individual CBT and desktop simulators.

Flight training is standardized, drawing on instructor-led, computer-based session briefings and state-of-the-art Level D full-flight simulators, which are customizable to the operator´s aircraft configurations. Flight instructors can also be deployed worldwide at any off-site CRJ simulator centre to deliver the same high quality instruction and check flight-testing.

Line-readiness can be achieved through aircraft based training and Initial Operating Experience (IOE) line training. Our team of training captains can enable a smooth, safe, and efficient introduction of CRJ operations utilizing the operator´s SOP´s.

The ground and flight instructors in Bombardier CRJ Training are highly motivated and dedicated to student success. With the experience of training pilots of numerous nationalities and of diverse cultural backgrounds the flight instructor team has the resources necessary to provide effective training to any operator. Training standards are assured through rigorous and continuous training and evaluation of instructional principals, techniques, and knowledge by an autonomous standards department.
